More volunteers needed to help us in the Thurcroft Big Local Information Centre at 46C Green Arbour Road – why not pop in today and have a chat.
Thurcroft Big Local is a ten year project led by community volunteers aiming to improve the quality of life for the residents of Thurcroft. The volunteer shop assistant position at the Information Shop at 46C Green Arbour Roaf involves speaking and helping residents with queries about Thurcroft Big Local, asking people to share their ideas on ways to improve the village and finding out what help and support they can bring to the table.
At present the shop is open 9am-4pm on Fridays and 10am -2pm on Saturdays but we are hoping to increase these opening times. You would always be working as a minimum in a team of two people. Keeping the shop clean and tidy and helping with opening and closing up would also be useful as would be practical help in helping prepare for community events and activities and support the Thurcroft Big Local Partnership in driving local community projects forward in the village.
